Governance

Sam Marino

Sam Marino began her teaching career in 2010 at Brompton- on-Swale Primary after completing her teaching degree at High Force Education. Sam has enjoyed many roles during her time at Brompton-on-Swale Primary and taught in every year group across the Primary age. She spent many years developing trainee teachers and delivering the professional studies element of the course, this role developed her natural desire to explore educational research in order to improve teaching and learning at all levels.

Sam has a strong passion for developing staff pedagogy and can often be found persuading others to ‘try out’ new initiatives, this passion lead to her to become an SLE for maths and Teaching and Learning. During this role Sam supported teachers across North Yorkshire to develop teaching strategies, resources, and outcomes for children.

As part of her SLE role she supported teaching at Crakehall Primary for a short period of time. When the Head of School Post was advertised, she decided to apply for the post – this was a great opportunity to continue to develop the school further and is now heading into her fourth year.

In her spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with her family, and catching up with the most recent Ted Talk!
