Our Federation

Welcome to Our Federation

Synergy Schools is a federation of primary schools in the north of North Yorkshire.

MW2

The federation was formed in September 2018 after the 2017-18 academic year, when Brompton-on-Swale and Crakehall CE Primary Schools successfully shared senior leadership capacity.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the definition of the word synergy is:

"the interaction or cooperation of two or more organisations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects."

The governors felt that this encapsulates the work of the federation and consequently, the 'Synergy Schools Federation' was born.

The federation has grown since its inception in 2018. Busy Bees Pre-School transferred to governor control from September 2020 and further collaborative work with the Federation of Leeming and Londonderry Community and Pickhill CE Primary Schools has led to a public consultation in March 2021 in order to bring both federations together.  In May 2024, again after public consultation, Hutton Rudby Primary School and Aiskew, Leeming Bar CE Primary Schools were welcomed into the federation.

Please read Our Vision for Our Federation which provides further detail about our work.

Our federation is ambitious and forward-thinking. We are always interested in speaking to like-minded organisations who feel that they could contribute to and strengthen our work
